Description

Swiss ZfK31/42 Straight Pull Bolt Action Sniper Rifle with ScopeDeveloped by the Swiss military in an early attempt to produce a serviceable sniper rifle from the standard issue K31 rifle. Blade front and adjustable tangent rear sights graduated to 1500 meters, military "cross in shield" stamp on top of the receiver, standard Swiss proofs and matching serial number around the breech end of the barrel, and matching numbered bolt. The attached scope is of the periscope style. The objective lens is able to rotate into a shallow cut out in the stock to keep it out of the way when not in use, and has a tangent style slider for elevation adjustment. The objective lens is numbered to the gun with partial serial number "829". Pistol grip stock with milled barrel bands, stacking hook, matching numbered magazine, "cross in shield" proof on the right side of the butt, and smooth steel buttplate. After testing it was found that this style of scope lacked enough magnification and coupled to its limited field of vision led to production stopping shortly after it began.
