An attractive Parian bust of a Renaissance Woman by Bates, Brown, Westhead and Moore, c. 1860. The young woman has a simple but finely detailed hairstyle and headdress while the brooch or fastening to her gown is also delicately modelled. This bust is smaller and more classical in style than the range of busts of young women by Copeland. Bates, Brown, Westhead and Moore were in business from 1859 to 1861. Height: 25cm (9”) Condition This bust is in excellent condition.
