PCGS%201984-D%20Lincoln%20cent%20with%20a%20fully%20unplated%20planchet.%20The%20coin%20is%20missing%20the%20copper%20plating%20on%20the%20obverse%20and%20reverse.%26nbsp%3B%0AFully%20unplated%20cents%20are%20eye-catching%20and%20popular%20due%20to%20the%20obvious%20difference%20in%20the%20coins'%20color%2C%20being%20zinc%20instead%20of%20copper%20in%20appearance.%26nbsp%3B%0AThe%20error%20occurred%20when%20the%20planchets%20did%20not%20receive%20a%20copper%20plating.%20Normally%2C%20zinc%20planchets%20are%20immersed%20in%20a%20bath%20of%20copper%20plating%2C%20and%20receive%20their%20coating%20of%20copper.%20Sometimes%20they%20either%20miss%20this%20step%20or%20the%20plating%20does%20not%20plate%20the%20planchets%2C%20resulting%20in%20this%20error%20type.%0A%26nbsp%3B%0AUncirculated%20Details%20Environmental%20Damage.%20The%20coin%20has%20lustrous%20surfaces%2C%20but%20has%20a%20corrosion%20spot%20at%208%20o'clock%20on%20the%20obverse%2C%20and%20some%20minor%20spotting%20on%20the%20reverse.%20Overall%20a%20pretty%20decent%20coin.
