Lukas Tyrolean Boiled Wool Jacket - Robert W. Stolz
Trachten Walkjacke Experience the Alps in this stunning example of classic Alpine fashion. Tyrolean boiled wool clothing, in German called 'Walk' (pronounced 'valk') is made from a loosely knit wool fabric that felted in warm water. Boiled wool is actually a misnomer as the fabric is only washed in warm water, not exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, which is plenty warm to achieve the desired thickness. The process takes hours and must be carefully observed to ensure the fabric doesn't shrink too much! The jacket comes in Beige, Light Blue, Green, Brown and Dark Blue. The Dark Blue, Gray and Brown colors can be seen on our page that shows all colors here SEE COLORS. Features: 100% new wool Fabric produced by Gottstein in Tirol, Austria Authentic Austrian Walkjacke, informally known as boiled wool Unlined, clean inside Sewn in the USA with
