The earrings are put together mainly out of shaped tombac pressing which were made in the Czech Republic in the late 1940s. The masterful moulds they are pressed in have however been used for the same techniques since the 1920s. The high copper content of the material mean that they will tarnish with age and handling, being worn jewelry of personal flair.The earring hooks are nickel free and so called french hooks or fish hooks in copper tone metal. Findings and spring rings are in tombac and the beads vary between Chez and Japanese crystal. The droplets are all high grade Chez glass, most of them with an Aurora Borealis shimmer to them.
