Great Britain sprint star Laviai Nielsen received her MS diagnosis weeks ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in 2021, and shares with us that she didn't deal with the news as well as she wanted. Despite the lifelong condition affecting the brain and the nervous system, Nielsen is still one of the top track athletes in the world. She has been inspiring many by talking publicly about how the condition affects her in competition, training, and everyday life, along with identical twin sister Lina, who is also a top GB runner and was diagnosed with MS as a teenager. Hear more in this exclusive interview with Laviai, who tells us her aims of another Olympic appearance, and why sharing her journey with her sister Lina is ‘special’.
