We had a look inside the giant new Robotics fulfillment centre being built in western Sydney. It will be the biggest warehouse in Australia and the company's first robotics centre in the Southern Hemisphere.

The HUGE warehouse spans 200,000 square metres, across four levels, which is around the land size of Taronga Zoo or 24 rugby league fields.

Since construction began in June 2020, more than 1,400 people have worked on the site and another 1,500 local jobs will be created once it is finished and operational.

The fulfilment centre will house up to 11 million items and will be equipped with the most advanced Robotics technology, with employees working alongside robots to pick, pack and ship smaller items such as books, beauty products, electronics and toys to customers.

.com.au launched in Australia in December 2017 and now offers customers 125 million products across 31 different categories including devices.

The warehouse is set to be completed by the end of 2021.
