Photos: Oregon women make history at NCAA track and field
Nikki Hiltz, Arkansas, finishes the 1500 Meter Run second with a time of 4:13.80 and Karisa Nelson, Samford, finishes third with a time of 4:13.96. The University of Oregon Women’s Track team set a new collegiate best of 3.23.13 in the 4x400 Relay to clinch the overall win in the NCAA Division I Track and Field Championship with a cumulative score of 64 points. Georgia came in second with 62.2 points and Southern California took third with a score of 43 points. Oregon becomes the first school to ever win the “Triple Crown”: the national cross country, the indoor track and field, and the outdoor track and field all in the same academic year.
