Warsaw, Poland – From 1st to 9th August 2013, 120 top European technical students will compete at European BEST Engineering Competition (EBEC) Final organised by Board of European Students of Technology (BEST). This event will collect the newest technology/engineering solutions from the most creative young minds in Europe.
EBEC Final is the most grandiose part of the Engineering Competitions organised by BEST all over Europe, having the 5th edition this year. Nowadays, Engineering Competitions are the most popular BEST event among young engineers, offering them the opportunity to express their creativity, compete and face realistic problems of industry or management.
This year, 120 inventive engineering students were chosen out of more than 5000 participants through two intensive elimination rounds: 83 local and 15 national/regional rounds. The best 30 teams of 4 students each proved to be ready for the EBEC Final by facing real life engineering challenges in the 2 categories: Team Design (practical solution with a physical prototype) and Case Study (hypothetical solutions for real-life problems).
EBEC Final 2013 is supported by the Rector of Warsaw University of Technology, the President of Warsaw – Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland, Polish Academy of Science and the United Nations, Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
BEST is a non-political and non-profit organisation for engineering, technology and science students. By maintaining and developing its core activities, it enhances mobility of over a million students, and provides them with opportunities for complementary education, educational involvement and career support.
