We have filled our calendar with one more, succesfully finished, engineering competition – EBEC. This year the competition was held at the Seavus Education & Development Center. The forum descussion, that was held after the official oppening, was the first wave of ideas by the young engineeres.

In the Case Study category, the competitors had the task called “Inovative technologies in help of ecology”, where the case was collection and sorting of scraps by autonomous mobile robot, powered by renewable energy sources. Winner of this category was the team Fast Forward, formed by the students Filip Bozinovski, Nikola Angjelkovik, Sasho Jadrovski and Kristina Blazevska.

The final day of the competition was the Team Design. The task was simply called “Rubberlanes” and the teams had to construc self-repelled small planes called “Rubberlanes”, because of the rubber band they are powered by. The winners of the Team Design category i se the team Orange, formed by the students Mitko Milosev, Aleksandar Stardelov, Ema Vasilevska and Aleksandar Mitik.

Both winning teams, ‘Fast Foreward’ and ‘Orange’, as the best Macedonian engineers will represent BEST Skopje on the regional competition in Nis, EBEC Balkan.
